i think ppl have always had peanut allergies but u may be right abt it if there’s an increase now. i do believe that a LOT of food sensitivities and even a good amount of autoimmune disorders we have here are bc of that though

But no one wanted to do that so no one really ate peanut butter or they just hid that they were eating peanut butter

I’ve surprisingly never met anyone with food allergies, I was just surprised to learn that my local schools are all nut free now. (Which is good obvi), but I grew up eating peanut butter sandwich’s practically for breakfast lunch and dinner haha. I just never knew food allergies were so prevalent

this is part of the reason why. it was mistakenly recommended by doctors in the early 2000s to not introduce peanut butter until they’re a toddler. not introducing the possible allergin early caused allergy rates to skyrocket. once people realized what was happening they changed the guidelines, but I bet a lot of people are wary or still go by the old ones

it’s also possible that the current vaccine schedule increases the likelihood of developing autoimmune/allergies in people who are genetically predisposed. However in many cases the risk is worth taking, and it can be avoided to some extent by doing the CDC delayed vaccine schedule

omggg i’ve probably met like 2 ppl in my life with allergies. i forget that ppl have allergies, so i get careless, which is horrible but im working on that. like literally no one in my family has allergies.
