I’m of the belief that if you’re not dating someone, you shouldn’t hold them back from a relationship with anyone else. If it’s not the right timing for the two of you, it might still be the right timing for the two of them. Or maybe it’s not and it’s his prerogative to tell her that. Basically, let them play out their story if they have one in the cards. And if they don’t, you didn’t make anything messy by laying claim to someone who isn’t yours.

She knows about everything that has happened between the two of us and that I still have feelings for him, I wouldn’t say I’m currently talking to him but there is an understanding that when we’re both ready to date we’re both here

Oh well then idk me personally I would not like a guy my friend likes or even entertain the idea but at the same time I don’t know the full situation and she’s ur friend and at least she told you. I would say trust ur gut and intuition. If something feels off then more times than not it probably is. If it doesn’t then let things happen naturally and see where it takes y’all
