Has anyone ever gotten over a sugar addiction before? I’m literally addicted to sweet treats and diabetes runs in my family so I’d really like to avoid developing it

Something that helped me was only buying sweets in individually wrapped packages. It slowed me down and stoped me from binging as much.

while natural sugars are still sugars and still need to be carefully watched you can maybe try switching over more to fruits and incorporating more things like veggies until it’s at like a good, healthy balance for those who are prone to get diabetes

Try getting sugar free sodas and etc. also try drinking fruit juices. I also am an addiction and will award myself a sugary drink at night if I drink water all day that day. For food, try going to Whole Foods and looking for healthy snacks. There will be some good ones that’ll actually taste good

take it w a grain of salt tho maybe bc i say this knowing many members of my fam including my mom have diabetes, and i’ve eaten nothing but sugar for the past like 4 days🙂
