I totally agree with you but I get it for talking abt it online so your post doesn't get taken down. It's unfortunate that we have to sensor these topics for our posts to stay seen, but necessary because they need to be talked about

Well originally I think it was to try not to trigger survivors :( I wasn’t really expecting to see something I went through in all caps 6 times on girl talk bc people tend to be more sensitive to this.

It’s when people say it in normal life I’m like 😬 I don’t feel disrespected by it but it does make me cringe

That being said, saying "grape" or "unalived" things like that irl is weird. Just say it.

I mean like people saying it irl, I get that some people need to say it bc of censors on YouTube and shit unfortunately

Imma keep it 💯 with you that saying “grape” is no less triggering than rape. It’s just rape with a g in front of it

it is actually less triggering because my brain doesn’t associate the word grape with that but if you dont care about victims perspectives then heard thanks!

Not necessarily, #2 I'm sorry that happened to you, no one should have to experience that. But victims can't expect everyone on the internet to tiptoe around triggers especially when they're so different for everyone. That's just the nature of online, it exposes us to things we sometimes don't want to see. We have to rely on our own coping mechanisms to get through the hard feelings when we see stuff like this and stop expecting strangers to automatically know what your triggers are

I absolutely don’t expect the internet to do all that I completely understand that but since this post was specifically about this topic I felt my opinion was welcome considering I’ve been through the topic at hand

They also said saying grape is disrespectful and I’m explaining how it’s actually helpful sometimes
