I like it and don’t think it’s too much, but I think your mom is worried it’s too much cause it’s bare shoulders and form fitting, like, you look ✨Stunning✨ in it. THAT SAID, a lot of wedding guest dress discourse sums up to “whatever you do, don’t take attention from the bride” so I think a shawl or jacket to go over it would make it more guest attire and less likely to show you off as an It girl

Gonna be so real rn it’s not even that revealing, you just have a lovely figure and the dress is really tight. I think it would hang better if you sat in it for a while to stretch it out in the hips + thighs, and you have to hike it up a bit so that the part around your waist that’s already a little looser doesn’t get stretched out but the part below it does. Once the fabric isn’t getting bunched up around your belly button and ribs the silhouette will be contiguous and wayyy more elegant

It’s fall, it fits, it’s not a body length gown, it works! Always double check if you can, but I’d say it’s perfect guest attire as is!
