Could try to start as an AML analyst or financial investigator. Same field but typically an entry level full time job to get some experience. That’s what I do rn!

Join a local chapter of a national acct organization. there are plenty for women in accounting and other backgrounds & try smaller firms for an internship, direct supervision by a CPA counts toward relevant experience to sit for cpa exam

Apply to those jobs anyways and research them to see if you can shadow/intern there as well, you can also look into your local police station to see if they have any volunteering work you can do to get closer to forensics
