well they stayed together probably because of societal standards and because they were bonded by grief over the death of their son… but it wasn’t the same between them after that. i really wish he used first burn

Girl they were never divorced. 1) It was hard for women to get the right to divorce their husband unless there was like HUGE abuse going on without proof/witness hearsay. 2) He was scandaled and did expose himself so like that wasn’t abuse on her and infidelity wasn’t abuse on a man’s part 3) she left her money for him he didn’t really take much from her family either. His father in law passed some money to his kids, but hamilton died in debt and funds had to be collected for a funeral
