His goal was clearly to worsen the political divide by egging it on and saying something like that just makes things worse. Kimmel also literally said Charlie’s name while speaking which involves him in the conversation.

The murderer made it clear he didn’t agree with and hated Charlie Kirk’s ideals. I think my comment above literally showed that there are plenty of non MAGA ppl on the right. If you think there is one kind of liberal you’d be wrong too. The point I’m making is he wasn’t helping the situation that was already tense and he got reprimanded for it. Simple. Jimmy Kimmel has atleast a million viewers per night so you can’t say people aren’t listening to the things he says and that it doesn’t do any damage. Did I ever say I disagreed with that? I actually think the MAIN problem we have in this country is mental illness. Period. You will never see 0 gun deaths in this country I’m sorry but it’s true. We can absolutely take steps to reduce them for sure but we NEED to prioritize and care about mental health diagnoses and treatments to prevent bad people from committing acts of violence. I think it’s time to have some hard conversations surrounding mental illness & how we treat people impacted by it.

Anyone rn who is stoking the fire is in the wrong. Period. It’s going to be extremely hard to get rid of major corporations like FOX or CNN considering their legal power. But Kimmel is essentially an employee of ABC a similar corporation. And therefore he’s essentially no different than these other people losing their jobs for poor taste remarks.
