as a therapist who works in a prison, trust me babes, correctional officers talk nonstop loudly around inmates who will do unspeakable things to the inmates who have committed heinous crimes to children and women.. mostly children. when those inmates hear that from the correctional officers, they plot that shit asap cause they’ve got nothing else to do but sit & do their time. correctional officers find out cause they are with the individual at booking when they first come in the door.

& the correctional officers will walk away to act like they didn’t do anything or act like they didn’t say anything so they don’t get in trouble & they leave it up to the dangerous inmates to take care of the ones who do those shitty crimes. correctional officers will plant that seed or the inmates will already know what the person is convicted for, due to news reports, or they’ll talk with each other & ask each other what they did. it is a brutalllll thing that happens. i know of inmates
