I can’t remember what culture this is but the wife will make him coffee but put salt (?) in it and he has to drink it in front of everyone on their wedding day with a straight face

My pap will eat anything I make even it’s it’s bad I once tried to make chicken adobo and it turned into chicken water… he looked at me w a straight face and said it’s good 😭

Turkish culture has this! We put salt into the grooms coffee when he comes to ask for the girls hand in marriage, it’s a silly tradition, if he makes a face he can’t handle her in the marriage but if he drinks without making a face he it shows he can handle her haha☺️
