It’s bs that a lot of doctors want a husband involved, BUT ovary removal is not as simple as a lot of people think. You NEED the hormones produced by your ovaries. If you remove them before your body is ready for menopause, you’ll become reliant on hormonal medication. It’s very rare to get your ovaries removed without a medical reason. There are lots of other sterilization procedures with less severe side effects!

idk i think if you were to think about it as any other major organ surgery i’d be different. i understand your certainty now, but truly no one can tell if you will change your mind later on. i understand doctors not wanting to be the one to do that for you. you are getting rid of the one thing that allows you to create life(and i’m pro choice and liberal lmao not some weirdo) but I don’t think people who want this consider others perspectives.
