Saying booktok promotes too much smut is a valid criticism of the community and is not misogynistic

it is rude and disrespectful to other cultures to go into their countries and chastise them for eating dog, cat, or horse meat. I don’t think dogs, cats, and horses inherently have more value per life individually than a pig, lamb, cow, etc.

Being a man hater does not make you a feminist, and that’s actually not what feminism is about. It’s also not empowering.

the rise of conservatism paired with religion (specifically christianity) and them both going hand in hand is ruining this this country from a political standpoint because people refuse to separate their religious values from politics which is in turn harming the greater majority.

i’m not against religion i don’t care what people choose to do with their religious freedom but when your ideals, morals, and values start hurting women, people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community that’s a HUGE problem.

As someone who is Catholic, there 100% should always be separation of church and state. Everyone has the right to their own opinions or religions and personal/religious morals shouldn’t be pushed on others.

religion being brought into politics is why women, people of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community are slowly losing their rights and no one is ready for that conversation.

As a Christian I think bringing Christianity into politics goes against the free will principle of Christianity. “But the people voted for it” it wasn’t a 100% yes on that vote. Our voting system is flawed. If a vote won by 51 votes then that still means 49 people are unhappy. Which is still half of the population.

upvote 24 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> moonlightbae 13w

Not only is it ruining the country, I truly believe it is ruining Christianity. People are starting to think conservative beliefs = Christian values and it’s seeping into the churches. Cause wdym you’re actively going against the teachings of your own God in the name of your political party?? It’s best for everyone that they stay separate.

upvote 25 downvote

like… hot take your political beliefs shouldn’t be because “god says x y z in the bible.” religion has nothing to do with politics but now that people started bringing the bible into it, it’s a disaster.

this is what happens when we’ve been told for generations to keep religion/the church separate from politics and people don’t listen… you can still be a christian and not be a discriminatory piece of shit when it comes to politics but people don’t understand that and they refuse to bc it doesn’t fit their narrative.

To some extent. Rapists and human traffickers? I’m not educating them. They know what they did is fucked up. But someone who is ignorant about culture and appropriates something? Yeah sure an explanation is helpful more than intense shaming.
