I honestly think because many opinions these days have to do with human rights. And that’s a very heavy topic so people tend to get heated about it. I agree with the fact that if you want people to listen to you then you need to lead with respect, but these people 98% of the time just *dont* wanna listen. So if someone says some dumb crap about abortion then im not gonna try imma just be like “you’re an idiot” and move on. Because a lot of these issues have been addressed again and again

it depends on the opinion. if your opinion is harming the greater majority then i’m going to have an issue with it. if more people took an ethics class i feel like they would understand why their opinions sometimes hurt more people in a negative way than they might think.

i feel like most of these comments didn’t get what i was actively trying to say and just wanted to again be a cunt and start arguments in the comments. everyone will have an opinion, and wether or not you agree with something someone said doesn’t mean you ALSO have to be a cunt. you yourself are fueling their hatred and making it worse. those people will never change their opinions, and commenting on them only makes them want to say it more and ACTIVELY go AGAINST you.

The whole point of the post is not being a cunt about differing opinions. If they act against you, being an equal or bigger problem won’t help. You can’t change them all you can do is let them be angry and miserable and the new generation will watch. And they will follow the side that isn’t always making problems

if someone is okay with voting for/going against policies that affect me and other people within my community negatively i don’t have to like them and i’m allowed to stand up for myself. i will not let or allow people to silence me. i’m not making problems by saying i want my bodily autonomy rights AND the right to marry my girlfriend. i will die on that hill.
