I have a lot of mixed feelings about the writing and plot of kpop demon hunters but damn if that soundtrack isn’t living in my head 24/7. that shit goes so hard

the plot is that jinu shouldn’t have taken a jet2holiday

but i liked it, they made the main girl trio “weird & cringe” but also badass

I think their characters improve a lot after the first scene, that scene felt more like a trailer than a part of the movie. it felt so disconnected and the overdone and exaggerated expressions (among other things) were super weird/cringe

yeah i suppose, but i think it also helped them seem more “relatable” to younger audiences because girls can be cringe/weird/silly but also badass and like really cool.

I get that but if they wanted relatable characters why just not develop them at all? Zoey and Mira were so 2D, they both had like one personality trait and that’s it

ok but think about this from a practical writing perspective. Zoey and Mira have stronger surface level personalities than Rumi but less development bc thats the tradeoff u have to make w a limited runtime. It has to be immediately apparent who they are or else they’ll just seem muddy and undefined bc the story has to focus on Rumi
