I think the ones who do are truly “not going through a phase, mom” :,) I miss when kids had to be awkward and experimental instead of jumping on the latest hive mind fashion/makeup trend. I would not be who I am today without that character development lol

Yes. My neighbor is deffinitly in her emo phase and has been since she was like 12. She’s 16 now I’m pretty sure. She also went through the awkward/weird phase. I was so glad to see it was still happening

that’s so sad 😔 without my emo phase I would not have made the friends I have today or have my favourite music. experimenting is so important for growth and development

I definitely had the emo phase to raver pipeline 😂 I just started getting back into P!ATD, Fall Out Boy and Paramore and I’m wondering why I ever stopped listening to these timeless bangers. And now that I’m an adult with my own money I can finally dress, do my makeup and hair how I always wanted to. The kids need something personal to aspire to like that

That’s so exciting!!! I got to see so many of my old emo phase bands at a rock music fest last summer and it was such an experience. The ones I remember were I prevail, Jimmy eat world, chevelle, and Hollywood undead. I have yet to see MCR 😔
