Lowkey I hardcore judge people who don’t have collars on their pets- like what happens and they get out and now they are relatively unidentifiable and if someone were to find them they can’t call you to get them back Even a breakaway is better than none

I’ve gone through two different collars for my cats because they always manage to get them off and shred them, so they don’t wear collars anymore

i'm not putting a collar on my indoor cat, he's chipped and i don't wanna worry about him accidentally hanging himself on something. and if u do put a collar on ur cat make sure its a break away one

i have 3 cats nora, the one on the bottom right, is a fucking mischievous devil who WILL run outside and one time we couldn’t find her and she came back 24 hours later (has not happened since). she has an airtag collar now the other two are lazy fucks with no interest in going outside so they don’t have collars because if i want them to go outside for funsies i have to push them out the door

we had to have our dogs collar off for a week because he had skin issues and got groomed but aside from that it stays on and he’s microchipped all of the things fr

The only animals at my house that have collars are the dogs, but all of them are microchipped We were always concerned that if the cats had collars they would get caught on things and hurt the cats

my cat has never gotten out and is not interested in it at all but if the animal is a known escape artist idk why people dont id their animals

i don’t have a collar on my cat bc he scratches at every single one i’ve tried so much he bleeds, but he is microchipped and has never tried to go outside. what drives me crazy, though, is people with their dogs off leash in public.

My cat does the same thing so now he has a leather dog collar that’s harder to destroy and backups if he ever does destroy it I love my baby boy but he is relatively unidentifiable in a sea of black cats at animal control and needs to be easily identifiable

My cats were also microchipped when I adopted them and are too terrified to even go near the door to outside, I’ve even tried to take them near it to show them snow, they have zero interest in being outside
