I spent over an hour making meatloaf (that has sauce bc it’s meatloaf) and my bf put bbq sauce on it without trying it :(

Depends on if it's something like ketchup with fries vs putting salt on something you haven't tried so you don't know if it even needs more salt

everyone has their food preferences, it’s nothing towards the chef they just now what they like. that goes for salt, pepper, sauces etc. not a big deal.
