Update: it traces back to a survey performed by Deloitte, a London based accounting firm. This is solely for business purposes as far as I can see and is not representative of the actual percentages.
So I found where the 53% came from and itโ€™s an article from an occupational therapy consultant and the link to the article they reference for that particular number is a software company. No scientific basis so far

i'd be interested in seeing the methodology of the survey too, and whether it was generalizable, or if the article just took it and generalized it.
