Ah, so good news. The uterine lining has been sitting, just like skin, but not the blood. That came out of your circulatory system just now. Brown means it’s oxidized, which means it’s coming out slowly, which usually means a light flow, but your case it’s probably thick due to all the tissue and thicker cervical mucus. If anything had been rotting in there, you’d be dealing with sepsis.

that's odd because that's not supposed to happen. your uterine lining is supposed to stay thin after staying on bc for that long.

Any time🫡 If anyone wants some further explanation… a lot of people seem to have the impression that your uterine lining is like a balloon either filled with or holding back a wall of loose “period blood” that builds up all month. The reality is so much less foreign. It’s more like the illustration. Your endometrium is a skin-like layer that has blood vessels growing into it. When that layer sheds, the vessels are exposed and blood flows directly from your circulatory system. Like a scrape!
