and just a month ago the former president of my high school got removed for abuse of minors! and my mom believes the archdiocese knew (they probably did). she wonders why i hate going to church so much but this is why!! it may not be every priest but the institution definitely covers shit up and i can’t be apart of something like that

I feel like my own pastor dad is very much this figure everyone loves and thinks is so positive and amazing at church and he’s actually a fucking mess and abuser at home very often.
