i have ocd so i do use soap to wash my cooch (i don’t put it in my vagina but i def put it over) and it just works with my body personally. but a lot of women do that and have genuine problems with ph and infections. if it was an excuse to be dirty obgyns wouldnt advise it

you don’t put soap up your vagina. you wash around it. The inside of your vagina cleanses itself. Do you know any guy who puts soap up his urethra? No. You clean the outside.

You can actually clean very well with a wet washcloth in the shower you don’t need soap. You can use soap but externally only and it’s best to use a plain and gentle unscented soap.

(Accidentally typed this as a response the first time) it’s not an excuse it’s literally just what my gyno and a lot of others recommend NOT to do 😭

This doesn’t seem healthy down there tbh you have good bacteria in your vagina and having those there in a healthy population keeps bad bacteria populations down
