So I know what it’s like to have a false accusation at an activist school, yall talk like you know the literal facts and what happened you do not. I believe that stat is based on how many rape charges are not convicted/the victim retracts their desire to prosecute. That does not necessarily mean it was a false accusation. A deeper dive shows men are about .03% likely to be raped in a year, and .0002% likely to be falsely accused in a year.

You shouldn’t be partial to anyone unless evidence comes out. Especially knowing that black men are extremely likely to be falsely accused by a white woman. I wouldn’t risk possibly ruining someone’s life, etc unless I have evidence. I’m a rape victim myself. Once by a guy much older than me, and once by my ex boyfriend which I then promptly left him a few weeks after. It’s understandable that people would want proof. It should always be innocent until proven guilty. Without that mindset-

What exactly does accepting the truth do? Men already know the harm they cause. The most progressive countries also tend to have the men that cause the most sexual violence and you can look this up. The cold truth is that the chemicals that make up a man’s biology AKA mostly testosterone leads to this violence. The punishments for such a thing just have to be more severe and I say this as a man. It is quite literally in men’s nature to act more violently sexually and physically.

That’s not how those stats work. It’s the chance that a man will be raped or falsely accused annually, not the percent of men raped or falsely accused annually. It’s the difference between saying everyone has a 1% chance of dying every year versus 1% of people die every year. Obviously not accurate numbers but that’s the point being made. They don’t believe the men either, in fact they are far less likely to believe the men

That’s because men get raped too you just don’t get the national coverage on it bc they should man up or they probably liked it

Damn, I must blow the average out of the water because I’ve been falsely accused of sexual assault multiple times in my life as a 20 year old just because “he looks like a creep so I’m probably right anyway”

It’s almost as if women are the age of 21 can’t buy a gun 🤯 and that’s when majority of the assaults first happen. Is from childhood-21 years old

I’m a woman, and I’ve been raped twice. Yeah obviously rape is bad and scary. But so are false allegations lmfao

i literally choose to inject myself with testosterone every week and have been doing it for the past 4 years so i can have the same levels as a cis man and i’ve never once thought about acting violently sexually or physically. it’s not a biological thing, you guys just think it’s ok and youre supported by other men to continue doing so.

you literally were. “pass the controller” or “my steak is too buttery” is an insinuates that nothing serious actually happened. i know thats not what you mean to say, i empathize and understand that, but it really feeds into the whole “you’re a man, you should have enjoyed it” crowd that just downplays rape bc of the victims demographic

I get this shit all the time when ever I try to talk about my (self described I’m not name calling here) nympho ex. “Oh she harassed you at school and work? Oh she assaulted you in your sleep? Goals!!”

i feel lucky enough that i found a group of friends that really supported me and heard me during that time and they actually got her kicked off of a club she was in which would have been vindicating if i didn’t know that if i were the 19 year old doing the same thing i would probably be in jail right now due to my gender.

same girl from the story i talked about above was a coworker of mine at the time and she was the same way, like pushing me into the bathroom mid-shift to do stuff and one of my good friends back then who also worked there responded to me saying practically what you said word for word and a week later i quit with no notice and never saw him again. good riddance.

both can be true without false accusations needing to be brought up and harped on every time a woman is raped. it is so invalidating and weird and it is highly unlikely.

horrible that happened to all of them. the women who falsely accused those men should absolutely be convicted for defamation. with that being said, 1 in every 5 women has been raped. not assaulted, raped. that’s 780 million women. 99% of these are perpetrated by men. let’s not pick and choose where to put our empathy.

i don’t think bringing up false SA allegations victims is “pick[ing] and choos[ing] where to put our empathy” i think a totalitarian conversation where we can’t talk about both sides of this coin would actually be much worse example of picking and choosing where to show empathy. like #20’s response completely disregarding the point and dismissing the issue by waving it off and saying “*one* example” is a much more dangerous precedent than #2 listing names

rifles and shotguns are legal from age 18 and up in a majority of states. then from 21 and up you can get a hand gun too if its that dire

Yeah ok lady. I’d still rather be the woman, because if you’re a man and are accused of a false accusation then go to prison, you’re going to get raped in prison + life ruined.

When are false allegations brought up when a woman is raped? If you’re talking about the Cornell case, that is one big fat false allegation on those 7 men.
