Realistically, probably. I’ve never known a 21 year old that I wouldn’t feel weird about seeing them involved with a 26 year old

Our brains are quite literally developed differently by 26 than at 21

Yeah a little bit, but I could see it working if both are out of college or if the 21yo only has a year left

I often feel like an old woman in here, just turned 24, but look you can be an “adult” and still be not at that point in life. There’s a reason much of society doesn’t treat the college aged as true adulthood

I think it depends where you are at in life. I was 19 and my bf was 24 but we had both just started college and were on the same life paths.

But if I was said 21yo, I would not make any hard commitments (engaged, baby, etc) until you’ve been dating them a while and after college

Thank you! Although I have to make it out of medical school still sane. Time will tell. But my end goal is to bring better compassion to Psychiatry

I can get a touch heated about it because so many women will come into your office and are working through dissecting traumas related to those types of imbalanced relationships
