is it disrespectful to want to go out with your girlies to a club? my man keeps saying it is bc everyone there just wants to fuck but i genuinely just want to get drunk and dance with my girls, + he never wants to go out anymore bc he did sm last year :/

Personally my friends still go out when they have boyfriends, it’s fun and you miss out on memories when you don’t go. Having a boyfriend should not keep you from bonding with your friends. I had an ex who did not let me go out and we’re ex’s for a reason. If he doesn’t have enough trust in you that’s his own insecurities and you do not have to placate to them! He should be willing to compromise and if not there are people who will!

It’s def not disrespectful, it’s kind of insecure of him but idk if I’d blame him for that, some guys are just like that. Maybe take him out at least once and show him that you’re just there to hang with your friends?

thank you, i’ve been trying to talk to him saying that all the girls i know in secure relationships go out with their friends every once in a while but he just argues that “most people find it weird”. it’s genuinely upsetting every time bc i don’t want to fk up our relationship but i also never got the same experience as he did going out so much! last year i barely went out and barely had friends, im just trying to make some college memories :(
