FOR CONTEXT: - I’m almost 22 and I graduate college this year. I live alone 9/12 months - I paid for my schooling by myself via scholarships - I’ve worked my entire college career despite being in a hard ass major - I came home this summer to save money (I don’t have to sublease an apt in my college town if I came home, I live on campus during school) and I’ve been working full fucking time all summer - my bf is from 9 hours away and I’ve seen him once in 2 months of being home.

I wanted to drive down and see him for a week (and she told me this was fine 2 weeks ago) but now she’s saying I can’t go unless I get round trip plane tickets. I’m mad because she’s going back on her word and treating me like a child when I have driven all over by myself and through bigger and much more dangerous cities. I’m also mad bc if she had told me two weeks ago that I would have to fly I could have bought my ticket then and saved over half the cost of what I’m about to pay

And the real kicker??? I might not even be able to go because by the time I get paid the ticket prices will have gone up EVEN MORE and only one airline within driving distance around me flies to anywhere around him. So I might not even be able to afford a ticket by the time I get paid. I’m SO MAD
