In 2021, a federal bill was signed that invested a bunch of money into infrastructure, which would have a long term positive impact on the economy. The process of making the plansets can take anywhere from 1-5 years, depending on the size of the project and who’s involved. Right now, many of the projects started because of that bill are probably about midwayish through construction (at least in my area they are)
Construction in the united states has a lot of bureaucracy, which is there for good reason, but it can really slow down the process. There is also a shortage of civil engineers and construction workers, which is really causing delays. If you live in an area that is growing rapidly, it will actually never end.
Huh, interesting! Thanks for sharing. My metro area is notorious for growth (Phoenix) and bc of my job I’m in all parts of town. Our sprawl is bad and we’re mostly just surrounded by desert and mountains so there’s always room to grow. Developments always under construction on the edge of town
