we’ve been dating, but we don’t want to like get engaged/married until we both graduate, no matter who we’re with like we both agree on that. but like I think he wants to get engaged with me or something because he was like “so I know we’re already dating but what if we made it more serious because I want to have a life with you” and he wants to meet my parents etc.

Okay he may be giving you a promise ring soon. I’d ask him things like “where do you see yourself in 5, 10 and 15 years” “where do you see yourself living” “is religion going to play a role in our relationship and if so how should that play a role in our children’s lives” “should we have joint or separate bank accounts” “what are long term investment goals” “what do you want to spend money on? Things, experiences, savings” etc.

Ask him about career and goals and what happens if one of you loses their job what’s the plan after that. Would either of you be willing to relocate depending on jobs. Where do you want to live after school. How do we divide household responsibilities. How should extended family play a role in your lives together. How important is things such as sex and physical intimacy
