For any of the girls who have gone to therapy would you recommend? I kinda want to start going but I’m a bit worried it’ll make things worse since yk bringing up old stuff but would yall say it’s more helpful than not?

the point of bringing old stuff up is to work thru it, if you’re with a good therapist it shouldn’t have a significant negative impact on your life. you also don’t have to get into the deepest parts of yourself, you can talk about anything. i think it’s worth a try

it’s been very helpful for me. the first couple of appointments may feel like you’re just dumping all of your problems, but it gives a therapist groundwork for how to navigate you and ur past. id suggest coming with actionable goals (nothing crazy, like for instance i just want to ruminate less and deal with my anger issues)
