WHY would you ask if your bf can come along an hour before the plans we made a week ago. Obviously I don’t fucking want him to come, but I’ll sound like a jerk if I say no.

say no. people need to understand that friendships are a one on one connection and bringing your significant other distracts them from connecting with the other person fully. it’s not fair to you for another person to be invited to plans you creared

Sometimes setting boundaries makes you feel like a jerk, it do be like that. Best u can do is be polite as possible and accept that it might not go well and that’s okay

I want to but it feels pointless since I’m moving at the end of the year anyway

Yeah I’m bummed because it’s something I’ve been looking forward to all week to catch up with her. The bf and his friends are insufferable morons and lowkey racist. It’s awful.

So youre giving in to friendships youre not attached to? Like youre still there, why neglect yourself because its impermanent?
