super cute but we’re on day 3 and she’s tearing shit up like CRAZY! the owners said she chewed but she ripped up a hat, is destroying patio furniture, and chewing up my charger 💀 can’t get ahold of them to see how they deter her since they’re on a cruise

maybe you gotta just keep her closer to you so she isn’t wandering off on her own to chew for the time being?

Try a spray bottle!! It shocks them out of the behavior, and if you need a break just put pup in the crate, it’s okay to let them cry

oh she’s doing it right in front of me and her 10 million toys 😭 the owners told me to bark at her to get her to stop but she does not give a fuck. i’m hoping they’ll get back to me tonight when they dock for a bit

Accompany it with a harsh “uh-uh” sound or “no” so that eventually they understand the command

no spray bottle and she doesn’t have a crate, i’m just not gonna let her be on the patio the rest of the booking :) just hoping that the owners don’t fault me but i doubt they will since they seem chill

Good idea, they understood the risks of a puppy so it’s on them haha

^^which she’s definitely displaying normal puppy behavior and that’s why i’m not upset! more so worried since i think she’s actively eating the plastic off the furniture and i don’t want her to get hurt. also i don’t want to held liable but again i don’t think the owners will do that to me

my dog uses to bite at the bottom of wooden furniture, we had to put some kind of spicy pepper concoction on them and he stopped! google what’s safe for puppies before trying that tho also u should prob make sure anything chewable is completely out of reach, cause theres not rlly a way to discipline that, puppies wont understand that yet, its like babies where u have to just baby proof everything
