met a girl recently who was in the process of changing her name on every social media and socially bc she was convinced the government is spying specifically on her and her every move. her reasoning: the existence personalized ads. like girl unless you’re a major wanted criminal the government does not care that much, shit is so narcissistic

I mean it’s not just major wanted criminals, it’s also political activists and stuff But also it’s the tech companies spying on us most of the time, and governments can just buy that info from us… and unless we make a new account they know it’s still us
