Unfortunately she’s legally not a corpse :( I feel so bad for her family having to watch this. I just learned she was only about 2 months pregnant when she went on life support. How excruciating is that

Yeah that was my first non-emotion based thought on it, too. Imagine going into poverty while you’re under the immense stress of grieving your loved one, and also trying to pay for and raise a child that you probably can’t afford.

also, the fact that her body is being kept alive through machines and an abundance of medication to balance her hormones The doctors don’t truly know what seven months of that is going to do to her baby

Also I hope that child, if it survives, never finds out about the mother and those circumstances. That would be such a deep level of survivor’s guilt with absolutely no community to reach out to
