Yep. It’s so interesting how few women want to actually participate in that field and why so many men want to.

The ones who do are fascinating to me. I am an aspiring physician myself and know that it is a very lucrative field. But, there are other lucrative fields in medicine that are much easier to enter. I respect the people who do plastic surgery specifically to do reconstructive work (trauma victims, correcting disfigurements from cancer, etc.)…but most focus on cosmetics. I wonder if internalized misogyny plays a role?
