I mean let’s be real, even CREDIBLE and PROVEN allegations against men don’t actually ruin their lives!

I saw some guy saying he’d create a male version of Tea to post women men considered “ran through” and I feel like that says enough about what they consider comparable to SA

I don’t use it so I could be wrong, but isn’t the point of the app to out abusers/rapists/generally unsafe men? I feel like people are trying to paint it as a gossip app and not a valuable tool for women’s safety in the dating world

Like I used tea but I was a curios browser and not a poster. Seeing other women act like this is detrimental to men when I don’t see any men speaking up for us makes me want to use the app more

My bf saw the app. Asked me what it was, I showed him and scrolled through it like “oh my god I know all of these dudes from highschool.” And I clicked on the comments and read them to him and he was like “no…yeah that’s pretty accurate.” I also explained it to him and said the only reason why I had is was so I can make a post about my ex who abused me. But since the leak I deleted my account

I think anything said on that app should be taken into consideration NOT as fact. Only if a lot of people are saying something’s up then that’s gonna cause me to take it seriously.

I feel like comparing it to something that really obviously shouldn’t exist is not the strongest argument I have very mixed feelings on Tea–I think it has a lot of value but also can be used for just stalking in a way that makes me uncomfortable as a past victim of that—but false accusations aren’t a big part of that

Isn’t about the men and how the dates were in general, not just if they’re dangerous? I thought it was basically like Yelp for men Which… I understand how that idea would make them uncomfortable, even if it’s for a good cause I had experienced being stalked and gossiped about on a group chat in high school because I was the weird girl, and it was really uncomfortable learning that a bunch of random innocent interactions were being shared in a network like that where they were talking about me

It is a good comparison because you can’t complain about one then close ur eyes and act like the other, much more brutal version doesn’t exist. Most men are upset women are doing the same thing they do to us. Keep in mind the hacking went down on 4chan. The same exact site harassing women

He knew the guys from his highschool, to clarify. I didn’t see any guys from mine bc my school was super small

Not to triple comment. But my ex uses a lot of dating sites (my friend kept finding him) it’s sad that my post is no longer up bc I want to save other girls from him. I think that some ppl forget the areas where it’s extremely helpful for women. Yeah obviously things are going to get petty. But it can save girls from running into toxic ppl. Some guys had like 46 dislikes w over 30 million comments of girls all saying how they were an asshole.

I mean the stuff on 4Chan and the site itself honestly is much worse, but I think it’s just harder to compare to one of the biggest apps right now to something that is horrific and much more fringe, I highly doubt most of these men use 4chan

Mmm I don’t love that, I’m all for an app that’s purely for safety and other major things (like cheaters). But just gossiping about people who could be autistic, awkward, or otherwise just kinda innocently left a bad taste after the date is fucked

Yeah, it’s a gossip group chat on a broader scale, there can be information there that helps with safety but that’s far from all that’ll be on there
