Then maybe… stop listening to society? Live your life for yourself? Not for society and their comfort. Trust me I’m doing it and I feel completely stress free. I literally just choose to exist as the real me. If they want to hate then let them bc their resentment eats them up inside.

I literally stopped wearing lots of makeup bc I was wearing it for other peoples comfort even when I was breaking out from it, I stopped pretending to be excessively nice to people who didnt care about my wellbeing, I stopped trying to make peace with people that did wrong to me, I stopped all that bullshit

You understand that the societal pressures are large scale manipulation? When a singular man manipulates a singular woman, we stick up for the woman. We dont shame her for falling for manipulation. So we also dont shame women for falling for large scale manipulation. Its not sheepish its manipulation.

I’m not SHAMING, I’m ADVISING. I know society is full of the patriarchy and demands woman to conform to those standards and it can be difficult to look past. I have been there and we all continue to face it. I mean hell it’s not just men it’s women too who enforce it. It is manipulation but you have the power to change the way you think. Once you see all the lies being fed to women you can either choose to live for yourself or continue the same life and be insecure.

Like I said, I agree with you (ie I don’t fear aging). But I also don’t blame women who are influenced by the constant and relentless messaging that comes from the beauty industry, hollywood, social media, and people in their lives. It’s not always as simple as choosing to ignore it.

Yes I understand, it was wrong for me to call them sheeps I apologize. I have been there before. You’re correct it’s seen everywhere and we face it daily. I stopped consuming mainstream media a while ago so perhaps other people are too invested in it. It’s just a mindset I suppose.. it’s difficult for most people but I do believe that most women have the choice to believe what they want to and to think what they want. It’s hard to navigate with all the brainwashing, I was being insensitive

I completely understand that, it’s difficult to romanticize being older due to those circumstances but I think we should all be grateful for the one life we had and to live it to its fullest by making as many memories we can with loved ones and cherishing those around us!
