Has anyone lowered their dose of bc? Did u have any symptoms?

idk what issues youre having so idk how much of a help this will be, but i actually upped my dosage. I started off with a low dose, but i was constantly having breakthrough bleeding and bleeding for extended periods of time. after getting a higher dosage i have 0 issues, get my period when im supposed to, stop when its supposed to, no mood changes etc.

You may also want to look at switching the progestin in your medication. If hair loss and acne are issues, a less androgenic or even antiandrogenic progestin could be better. Which pill are you currently using?

I also initially went higher due to breakthrough but my ob thinks it’ll help w libido/dryness😭 as well as potentially some of my hair shedding and acne which I thought was counterintuitive but she explained it to where it made sense

r you in the combo or progesterone only? i’m on apri 0.15-0.03mg, i don’t get as wet as i did when i wasn’t on bc but i can still get wet enough for it to be enjoyable. also haven’t noticed any hair changes/acne, but ofc everyone is diff

Combo! And yeah my other meds definitely exacerbated the seggs issues and I have pcos hence the hairloss and acne but I hope it works and I’m glad u found a good one for you!
