Sitting their and saying sexual health isn’t that deep is so fucking dumb esp considering the fact we live post roe v wade being overturned. I hate when ppl act like women are crazy for being hesitant to have sex given the hell getting pregnant accidentally is

Like it honestly pisses me off so bad when ppl say shit like this. Like even if you ignore the STDs or pregnancy risk there’s a lot of men out there who do not give a fuck about the women they have sex with, prioritize their pleasure (orgasm gap) or treat them like they’re disposable. I understood what you were saying contrarily

i’m just saying it’s not so deep that you should not have sex all together because of it. there are methods to use to mitigate these risks

condoms do not break often. if stds are the worry then get tested before sex and make sure your partner is to.

Mitigation ≠ eliminating all harm, you can still take precautions and still get pregnant or STDs which is why some ppl don’t do it all and that’s their right. I’m just acknowledging that your comment came across as dismissive. Because it was

Esp if you’re a woman (I’m not even sure because girl talk is like crawling with men atp) you should understand why for some women they would rather give up sex than deal with the things. I’m at a place in my life where I don’t want to risk it so I’m abstaining for now. Doesn’t mean it’s not that deep, just means at this currently time the trade off or risk isn’t something I want

ofc it’s her right she should do what she wants. but if this anxiety is holding her back from doing something she wants to do, it’s important to recognize the likelihood of her fears. if you use birth control, condoms, and get you and your partner tested the chances of std/ pregnancy are both very very low.

i am a woman and i couldn’t personally understand giving up sex because of risks that can be diminished to the “very unlikely” zone. but i understand sex isn’t as important to others ig

I still think your comment was weirdly dismissive. It’s not a matter of not finding sex important. If anything being proactive about your sexual health suggests the opposite. Just highlighting that regardless of what choices women make they deserve to be respected. You don’t have to diminish ppls real fears. Esp with what’s going on in the world today

Condoms are not 100% on pregnancy let alone STDS….

Like stacking contraceptive methods can absolutely reduce you’re chances but the chances aren’t zero and if you’re someone who doesn’t want to risk that at all not even 2% than you either gotta abstain or get like your tubes tied/hysterectomy.

Ok. So a girl says I don’t have sex bc of the risk of STDS and then u suggested something that they teach us in sex ed isn’t very great for stopping STDs. It doesn’t make sense to diminish someone’s fear by reminding them of statistics they already know. So if you weren’t saying they were, I’m very confused as to why condoms where brought up in this sense

i could have been nicer you’re right, i just think it’s important for people to know that there are healthy safe ways to have sex. anxiety about this kind of thing is normal and by no means would i want someone found something they don’t want to. but if it’s holding you back from doing something you want to do then that’s not exactly healthy
