Influencer Mikayla Raines just committed suicide over internet harassment from a snark sub on Reddit. I swear these snark subs are so fucking disgusting and need to be illegal. Those people literally have blood on their hands.

it actually destroyed me when i found out last night. for anyone else who doesn’t know: she runs “save a fox” sanctuary/rescue where she saves foxes / minks (and some other animals) from fur farms. i think it’s speculated that there were also other animal sanctuaries joining in on the bullying / snark. they were calling her a hoarder for saving all of these animals

snark subs are subreddits where an organization/person/channel etc. is critiqued for some reason or another. but it’s the internet and there is a veryyyy fine line between criticizing and bullying, and a lot of these snark subs straight go into bullying and some really shitty stuff when they weren’t meant for that purpose. Reddit can be a bit more anon depending on how someone sets up their account, so people tend to be harsher and say more despicable things.

I have celebs I hate but that’s kinda pathetic of people on there too. To spend your time on a specific sub to hate some influencer. They’re probably all miserable themselves.
