I don’t really care tbh I don’t listen to her music but I don’t see an issue with women being openly sexual or kinky

without context my first thought was "i hate to see a baddie on her knees for a man" but with it being "man's best friend" i just thought she was going for that pick me look tbh

she’s doing it because how the public looks at her and it’s empowering and i don’t get how, unless her songs are gonna address that. coming from a PR stance she’s definitely benefiting off men and women. i never really liked her tbh

i like how she sings about pleasure and sex. if men can do it, so can women. we should be able to talk about that openly like men are able to in their songs.

from a pr standpoint this is honestly a hit cause it's def got people talking. In general though im not a fan of her just cause her music isn't for me 🤷‍♀️ not cause it's sexual, her voice is just highkey annoying for me, but i think she had the right as an artist to promote her music however she wants to

i feel like the alt right people are the one’s most likely to put her down for this…

I personally feel a lot of guilt for having sexual interests and being a submissive person so seeing everyone get mad at her for being open about that stuff makes me feel even worse about it I won’t even lie

i swear these people forgot the kind of stuff we listened to in the early 2000s with the pussycat dolls & fergie’s the dutchess cover. like none of this is really new or any more sexual than we’ve seen before. if anything this kind of sexuality seems more witty.

and i agree, being a submissive person in the bedroom doesn’t make you a worser woman.

agreed! i said that too. i don’t like how women get shamed for being kinky or sexual in music but people like the weeknd are fine. its just…odd. lots of people think it is.

i feel like nowadays most people see a woman in a submissive position sexually and their mind just goes straight to "she's an abused house wife" and to me that just shows the lack of sexual education ppl have tbh, women shouldn't have to be ashamed for being sexual be it if they like to be more dominant or more submissive

fr and it doesn’t make us slutty. most women are submissive and that’s just how it is. i love it.

I see a lot of women get angry when other women say they’re into the idea of submitting to a man, and I feel like some people forget that submission is an actual kink 🫠 like that doesn’t mean she’s anti feminist or believes women should always be submissive in real life, it’s a roleplay thing

but is the point to be kinky or is it a metaphor?

I’m assuming it’s a kink thing due to how she’s been presenting herself in her career but idk I guess we’ll find out when the album is out

Either way I don’t think there’s a problem, she’s allowed to use metaphors to critique society but she’s also allowed to have submissive kinks if that’s what this is

there is one song out for this album, called manchild, which might also give some context for if this is metaphorical, ironic, humorous, kinky, etc.
