i mean in all honesty i use a shave oil, exfoliate sometimes but i always shave at the end of my shower so the warm water loosens the pores and use a MENS five blade razor idk why it works better

exfoliate before! it helps get any excess dead skin out of the way

how do i know the direction my hair grows in?

find where it comes out of the skin, then find where the end of the hair is (this works best with trimmed hair bc super long might be curly). if the end is to the left of the base, then ur hair grows to the left, etc. it’s kind of hard to explain tbh but i hope that helps!
