Yes I find hot men having sex arousing. But the story makes me so emotional that it bleeds into their sexual encounters and overpowers any feelings of arousal id have if the fucking was isolated from the plot. My point is the show is much more than gay porn perhaps that was lost on you tho

the show is adapted from a book which was a rewrite of homestuck fan fiction. it is very much gay porn that has been watered down to be more appealing to an audience of straight women and to be able to be aired on television. again that’s not a bad thing but the idea that something being pornographic takes away from its artistic merit is silly especially when you’re talking about a piece of fiction so deeply tied to fanfic and online queer fandom culture

I haven’t heard of anyone who watches the show or reads the source material primarily (or even mostly) for sexual pleasure and I don’t think it was created with that intention. I don’t even know how to address your last sentence because certainly something doesn’t need to be porn to be tied to queer fandom culture? I don’t think porn is inherently evil or lowbrow, I just also don’t think this is porn

The first book in the series (Scott x Kip) was a Stucky fanfiction, idk about about Heated Rivalry or if Homestuck has anything to do with it 😭
