Everytime I stumble over there it’s nothing but how much they hate yt people like bro I understand why some may feel that way given the history and current state of the world but i literally don’t want to hear about that shit 5-6 posts back to back. Annoying asf. They all attend PWI’s and it’s making them miserable as hell like if it’s getting that bad they need to transfer to an HBCU cause I’d be damned if yt ppl were on my mind THAT MUCH.

Fr!!🤣🤣🤣. I currently go to a PWI but I love it and have gotten involved more in college compared to high school, go out with friends, and I joined a black sorority. They need to do something because they all sound miserable because they are and it makes that community feel draining to me. I can’t stay on there long at all.

I love that for youuu. I love my PWI as well I ain’t had to pay out of pocket the entire time I’ve been here and all my friends are cool as hell. As long as I’m getting my degree DEBT FREE I could give a rats ass about what yt folk are doing and who’s dating them. 😭

Also idk I think it’s weird personally for me for a person to ONLY want to date another of the same skin tone. Like if the other person isn’t black then u won’t date them or it’s considered a “dealbreaker” I think it’s weird not to branch out and try dating other people of different skin tones but to each their own. Idk I just follow a lot of cute interracial couples on social media.

It is weird. I think social media is really pushing the whole ‘go where you’re loved’ thing, and a lot of Black men are getting mad about the way Black women are speaking up about how differently/ better they’re treated when they date outside the race. At the same time, the number of Black folks dating white people is still super low because Black women are so loyal to Black men, even when that love isn’t returned.

Yes exactly. Glad I didn’t sound weird or anything with my reply. I’m currently in my first relationship and he is black but when I was single I said before I see myself dating a person outside of my race and don’t see anything wrong with that. Ngl I thought I was the odd one for my comment on the black chat until I saw this post today. So glad I’m not the only one that feels that way about the black chat. Before I went on it I thought it would be fun but I was wrong.

You are definitely not alone. I think that’s the reason it’s so dead in there. Back when black chat was first introduced it was FUN like laughing all night and meeting new people. Like I was in a whole group chat talking and FaceTiming people daily lol but now it’s dead and boring and those ppl I met went on about their lives… all though one still bothers me I had to cut his weird ass off recently lmfao
