Ya sometimes I wish I did believe so I could have that community that religious people have and acceptance. However I realize that in its self id the problem for all the people inside of these religions doing it for gratification

As someone who is religious, I never felt community and acceptance with others in my religion. And it’s why I stopped going to church and practice at home by myself, which even that will get me shamed and looked down on.

as someone who grew up in church twice a week every week, that community only exists with ignorance and delusion

When i participated as well i didn't feel community but that also might have been bc I asked to many questioned and I was shamed for it. I believe that when you are practicing religion for yourself is what is respectable but those who use it to hide behind their crimes and do it to make themselves feel better about themselves and for the acceptance of other I don't respect bc it's not religion you are worshipping its acting for approval

Yeah asking questions sadly get ppl shamed. But kids are just curious. To me it just shows that they didn’t do their research before teaching kids. But there’s ppl who hide for their crimes and stuff that are bad. But most ppl in the church are just practicing their faith. But like in every single social circle there’s a clique. You’re either in or out.

Sadly the only few ppl I’ve felt in “community w” in that part of my family are like my aunts, and my grandfather. Which doesn’t exactly count bc we are family

I love and respect religion before deciding I was atheist I explored all sort of religions and it's truly beautiful when people are committed to their word and what they believe in whole heartedly. I hope you begin to find people that will make you feel welcome everyone deserves community. 🩷
