food/cals tw! does anyone have tips on how to deal with compulsive eating? ive been on the struggle bus lately. i dont eat huge quantities of food when i compulsively eat but it’s been just enough to be like 200 calories over my deficit and throw me off

this takes some discipline to build but drink water whenever you feel the urge

try eating something healthy in compulsive qualities, like salad or something you can dip on that will satiate you also rice is really filling; sushi and rice and pooe bowls

Love, eating compulsively is a pretty core survival mechanism! It helps you stay alive and with the energy you need to go about your day. I was running a deficit for years and weighed myself every day and my folks made me see a dietician who asked I 1) stop weighing myself entirely, and 2) aim for three food groups (of nuts/seeds/legumes, starches, dairy, fruits, vegetables, and protein) per meal and try to get an evenish spread between the groups.

i reallyyyyy wouldnt worry about that tho. i regularly eat 1000 calories over my deficit and i never gain weight and im pretty sedentary!

^carrying around a big cup of water bottle helped me with this because it took no effort to drink some water when the urge to snack hit
