I am so sick of the demonization of birth control and spreading the rhetoric that birth control makes you infertile. Tell me why I got into an argument about this and people were ripping me apart for saying that both control doesn’t cause infertility

I’ve never heard of it causing infertility but I wouldn’t be shocked if that was one of the 104747 side effects it can potentially cause 💀

I accidentally left my pill pack out when I stayed at my bf’s house and apparently his mom threw a fit at him because “those pills make women infertile” 😅

It’s important to take your pills everyday *because* a small slip up can lead to pregnancy 😭🙏 I swear people don’t think

Republicans know that economic hardship causes people to have less kids. When the labor force population declines their negotiating power goes up, this higher wages. To protect their donors pockets they spread misinformation that causes skepticism and fear, and sadly it is very effective.

My sister was on birth control for like 8 years and she struggled with infertility because of it. Its different for everyone but we cant say it doesnt have bad affects when theres proof it does

the united states sterilized women in puerto rico under the guise of a form of birth control u can reverse later. it’s like a generational thing that people don’t trust it

Sorry but I’m going to be that person, she probably had fertility problems before, the birth-control didn’t cause it. Birth control does not cause infertility

If birth control causes infertility then why does it fail for so many women and they end up getting pregnant? Like I don’t get it 😭

I 100% agree and understand why poc would be weary of that’s esp indigenous and black women. But misinformation about birth control is incredibly harmful

The same can be said about completely banning abortions and the lies and fallacies they spout about that. If it ain’t fascist, it’s borderline some of the policies and cultural indoctrination they’re promoting.

Don’t stop trying to correct people’s incorrect beliefs and assumptions; these types of governing and cultural regimes are notoriously repressive towards women’s rights. It’s bad now, it could get a lot worse.
