Cause I give myself compliments as self care/ self love so when other people give them to me, it is nice but not enough to overlook other factors

I used to feel awkward receiving compliments too, I realized I was just saying “thank you!!!” And then it woukd be this awkward silence, I’ve gotten back into the groove of saying it like “thank youuu 🤭 , <insert compliment back!>” then that’ll make the other person smile too and you politely laugh and part ways or whatever. Idk this scenario literally happened yesterday so there’s that example
