maybe jane doe did lie. but i would bet MONEY she lied about it being consensual, not about it being rape. when i first told people about my experience (bc i literally had a panic attack in the middle of a party bc a guy was wearing his cologne) i lied

and said it was a family friend that i don’t talk to anymore. it wasn’t. it was my father. but i was too embarrassed and ashamed to tell my friends my own father had done that to me so i lied. idk what the point of this post is but i think it’s important to remember that perfect victims don’t exist

it’s a real thing. i don’t want to fully comment because news and evidence is still coming out and we don’t really know anything but the case shouldn’t just be dismissed because her allegations contradict what she said two years ago

Why would you reach out to your rapists again at all?

Why would she text one of the guys again saying she liked and that everyone needs to grow up because sex like this should be normal? After a guy rapes me I wouldn’t send him one damn text message

Didn’t call her a whore. But seriously those men were just as intoxicated as her. They stopped when she said she was tired. Was what they said in that gc wrong? Yes. I find it strange that we are calling it rape when she agreed to it. Then anytime she said she was tired they stopped. Her story is all over the fucking place. So yeah it’s kinda hard for a lot of people to believe what she is saying.

i think actually knowing that if i ever did tell the truth (never going to happen bc im never telling anyone about it again) id be instantly discredited bc i got scared and ashamed and i didnt do the ‘right’ thing. which ofc means nothing else matters and obviously lying is worse than rape. there’s just so little understanding and sympathy for victims :(

then thats how you would respond. fawning is a trauma response. so is denial and trying to return to normal life and convince yourself you actually DID want it. i know it sounds stupid and dumb but when something like this happens it fucks with your head so bad you just want to block it out completely. also respectfully if you’re not interested in an actual conversation and you just want to call her a whore or berate her for her choices please leave me alone. this was a really personal post and

I feel it’s quite obvious that there are two separate “issues” happening in this woman’s life (probably more than two). This is clearly her dealing with the fact that she’s being talked about on campus which is a different trauma entirely. Who are you supposed to turn to when the whole campus seems against you except the people who went “through it” with you

i never said you did, but it’s been a common theme among people who don’t believe her and i wanted to get ahead of it. there’s also a groupchat of 50+ men where she’s described as free pussy. if it was consensual, why did she go to the police at all? why were they punished? she also said she was raped and coerced and that they hit her. i’m sorry but if you truly expect me to believe a woman WANTS to have sex with seven men for seven hours it’s going to take a lot more than a report from a

They did go through it with her? And by making these claims she’s making them suffer even more

traumatized young women. i literally JUST explained why she might have done that, how it falls perfectly in line with trauma responses, and you still go “uhh okay well she said she wanted it” yes!!! most say that!! because it’s a trauma response!!!!!!!

i already told you. just because you don’t like the answer doesn’t mean it isn’t true. if you’re interested in learning more, i suggest doing more research on sexual trauma and violence

What??? By coming out about her assault she’s making them suffer?? Are you mentally well? They were there with her so therefore they “went through it” with her in the sense of the campus gossip. Like I said, two different situations. One is defending a public reputation while the other is her own wellbeing.

Because crazy thought… what if they never raped her? I don’t know if they did or not but neither do you none of us were in that house that night and those men’s faces have been plastered over the internet when we don’t even have all the facts so why would we throw them under the bus?

Have you done any research into this case at all? The only way you could have this opinion is if you are only considering what you’ve been told or you’re just another fucking man.
