it makes me literally laugh out loud when i see a comment on a gymnastics video like “as a cheerleader i just want you to know that the correct form is hands out not in” YOURE SO WRONG AND UR GONNA BREAK UR FUCKING WRISTS

Dude this was my entire life in highschool bc I did club gymnastics but we didn’t have a team at school so I always just fucked around w the dive team and cheerleaders ALWAYS had an opinion for no reason when we were all just practicing floor work or goofing off. Wasn’t that deep AND they were wrong as fuck

i have never seen a cheer team where everyone tumbles safely and correctly and the only time i see cheerleaders who do tumble safely they’re always a former gymnast. cheer coaches don’t care about form as long as you can do the skill. simone biles said what she said about cheer standing fulls for a reason
