ORIGINALLY: adrien saw marinette as a friend and nothing else. but adrien also has a superhero secret identity

called chat noir. chat noir and ladybug are partners. they work together. chat noir is (was at least) head over heels in love with ladybug like he would kill and die for her. neither chat noir or ladybug knew eachothers secret identities. so neither of them knew that the person they were in love with liked them back.

they fight these bad guys that get mind controlled to do evil by the town villain hawkmoth. hawkmoth is. get this. ADRIENS DAD. and nobody knows this. they go on like this for a good while with nothing super crazy happening. I think towards the end of where i stopped watching, they eventually had a switch where marinette started liking chat noir and adrien liked marinette. since then a bunch of crazy shit has happened i think. secret identities flying off the rails. new bad guys. new heroes.
