If you don’t have an official diagnosis yet, I recommend bringing up your concerns and any symptoms of note to your doctor and asking for a referral to get the diagnosis, which might be to a psychiatrist (I have anxiety and ADHD (and depression) and tbf my doctor as a teen just started me on stuff but I came in with a diagnosis and the one psychiatrist I did see kinda sucked BUT we found her on our own and she had bad Yelp reviews but I’ve heard plenty of experiences of fantastic psychiatrists)
If you’re really uncomfortable with the idea of bringing this up, try writing what you want down on a piece of paper and handing it to your doctor and you guys can take it from there (and if you want more advice you might get more luck on Reddit r/explainlikeimscared or r/explainlikeimfive since I’m pretty sure there are more Redditors than YikYakers 😅) Good luck and you’ve got this!
They did for a bit, but after I got older and got a new doctor, she ordered me a GeneSight test that determined the three (which is apparently a record low rip me) meds that would actually work with lower likelihood of side effects and when I remember to take them consistently they do help a lot and I don’t feel numb (except on the days when depression wins but it’s a lot less than it used to be)
Np!! Feel free to shoot me a private message if you want more help, I may not respond immediately but I’ll try to keep an eye out for the next week or so 💖💖 just remember: it’s your doctor’s job to help you be your healthiest self and if they don’t or don’t make that feel safe then try to find someone who will (and there IS someone who will). It says more about them than it does you
